Camtasia Tutorial
Step 1
Step 2
Open Camtasia recorder. Press tools, options... and follow my screenshot settings almost exactly (unless you have personal preference). Audio and camera options do not matter.

Hit 'File Name Options...' and set as this with a different output folder (you choose) to mine:

Next press the video tab and make sure 'Automatic' is checked:

Next is the hotkeys tab and you can set your hotkeys to what you like.
Note: For those of you who didn't read, the audio and camera tab do not really matter in these settings.

The last tab should look like this (personal preferences may differ):

Step 3
Select your video region by pressing underneath the word 'Region' and selecting the region you want to record.
Screen means the full screen, window means a single window (such as my computer), region means drag and let go and it will record however much you dragged and let go and fixed region means, quite obviously, a fixed region:

Step 4
If you want audio tick the 'Record Audio' box and then press the blue 'Audio...' button:

Now set it to 'Speaker Audio (what you hear)' and hit the finish button:

It will now look like this:

Step 5
Hit your hotkey button (F9 by default) and it will start recording the region you selected. Hit your second hotkey (F10 by default) and it will save it to the output folder you selected in the file name options.
You now can record videos of your desktop and SOME games (Fraps is better for bigger games such as Half-Life 2 but this recorder works with games like Uniball). Also this program does not need to have the files compressed after as it does it for you unlike Fraps which needs Mediacoder.
Additional: Uniball
Set Uniball setting resolution to (your resolution)x32 if graphics appear out of colour. If that does not work try setting windowed mode and then full screen again.
